Not all air cleaners are created equal...

Not all air purifiers produce the same air cleaning results. The ability to filter and retain microscopic particles varies widely among ordinary air cleaners, including true High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) cleaners. In contrast, the HealthPro Plus is so efficient at removing these tiny particles that even sophisticated measuring equipment, using laser technology, will find virtually no particles escaping IQAir’s patented HyperHEPA filtration. The HealthPro Plus isn’t just a better air cleaner. It introduces a whole new level of air cleaning that has never previously been available for home use. Based on technology that IQAir developed for hospitals and multi-million dollar clean rooms, IQAir created its patented HyperHEPA technology. Ordinary HEPA is advertised to filter particles only down to 0.3 microns in size, but 90% of all ultrafine particles are below 0.3 microns. This means that an ordinary HEPA filter is missing 90% of all the particles passing through it. Science tells us that it is the particles smaller than 0.3 microns that are the most dangerous and can do us the most harm. Add to this the leakage and poor manufacturing quality of most residential air cleaners and you have a machine that will truthfully do very little to clean your air. Since there was not a big price difference, we opted for the healthPro PLUS -- it was worth the $150 investment for turning our living space into a healthy clean environment. We also use the Course Dust Filter accessory... since we have six african greys and cockatoos.

What is the difference between the COMPACT Versus the HealthPro PLUS?

The HealthPro Compact features the same advanced micro- and nano-particle filter technologies as the HealthPro Plus, but in a smaller housing to make it more convenient in size for small apartments and offices, and NOT upgradeable to HealthPro Plus to include V-5 Cell gas and odor filter. The HealthPro Compact effectively removes every type of particulate air pollutants with the same ultra high efficiency as the larger models, including all common allergens, microorganism and all types of dust. This makes the HealthPro Compact the ideal choice for allergy sufferers and other health-conscious individuals that need high-efficiency particle removal in a smaller size. (The HealthPro Compact cleans a home or apartment up to 900 square feet, just like the larger HealthPro Plus, but it is not upgradeable to to include V-5 Cell gas and odor filtration.)

Certified Performance
In an industry where most air cleaners don't actually meet their manufacturers' claims, IQ Air tests and certifies each and every system. These systems are manufactured in the Switzerland under the highest of standards. Each unit is tested for particle filtration efficiency, filter leakage, and air delivery. High-Quality Fan IQ Air HealthPro systems use the highest quality fan motor available. The centrifugal, backward curved fan has an astonishing 700 cfm (1200 m3/h) rating. Because each fan is individually balanced and uses steel ball bearings, it outlasts other fans by years.

Six Fan Speed Settings Most air cleaners provide only two or three fan speed settings, which gives you limited choices. Either you run the unit on a quiet but ineffective fan speed, or you choose a more powerful, but noisy, speed. HealthPro purifiers give you the choice of up to six fan speeds, allowing you to select the ideal performance- to-sound ratio.

Integrated Timer Each air cleaner can be programmed to run automatically. You can easily set the unit to operate during office hours or program it in your bedroom to go on after you have reached deep slumber.
